Our Ready to Fish package comes with everything you need for a day of dry fly fishing with a Furled Leader, just add tippet to your liking!

Handmade Furled Leader made of poly thread for simpler and better fly fishing!
Our Furled Leaders come with a loop at the end that attaches to your fly line and either a loop or tippet ring at the tip, depending on the model and choice. Read more about the difference between a loop or tippet ring below. We also offer a Furled Leader with "ContrastTip" where the tip of the leader has a contrasting color to be more visible on the water while the rest of the leader is natural colored.
We offer three different models in a number of different colors, see the description in the "Models" section for specifications of the different models.

All-Round:

Recommended tippet: 3-6x
(If you want to use 6x or thinner tippet, we recommend first using 30-60cm tippet in size 5x, then an appropriate length of, for example, 6x.)
Heavy:
Recommended weight class: 6-7wt
Length: 180 cm/6 ft
Breaking strength: approx. 6kg
Recommended tippet: 2-5x
(If you want to use 4-5x tippet, it is recommended to first use 30-60cm tippet in size 2-3x, then an appropriate length of 4-5x.)
⮞ ⮟ Loop, Tippet Ring and ContrastTip?
We offer our Furled Leaders with slightly different tip variations. A knotted loop, tippet ring or ContrastTip.
The tippet ring makes it easier to tie on a piece of tippet with a knot instead of looping on the tippet BUT a metal ring will always create a little more splash in the water than a loop. Personally, I use a loop for dry flies and a ring for streamers and sinking lines.
Our ContrastTip is a variant of our Furled Leaders where the tip comes in a contrasting color compared to the rest of the line. This makes the leader's tip easier to see on the water's surface and can also act as a form of indicator if the fly itself is small or very difficult to see!
NOTE:Tippet ring is available in All-Round and Heavy models. ContrastTip is only available with a loop.
⮞ ⮟ About Furled Leaders
Furled Leaders are made by using several strands of material that are twisted together into a tapered leader.
This construction provides outstanding control over the fly and a smooth transfer of energy from the fly line to the fly. This, in turn, provides fine and soft presentations that can be crucial for attracting cautious fish in challenging conditions such as mirror-smooth lakes.
In flowing water, Furled Leaders excel due to their natural drift with low "drag" which allows the fly to follow the currents naturally without the leader "pulling" the fly.
Thanks to its twisted construction, Furled Leaders have almost no line memory and are very "leaderless" unlike a stiff poly or fluorocarbon leader. This can help reduce the risk of tangles and a Furled Leader does not coil up into a spiral on the water.

Non-toxic floatant for fly fishing and Furled Leaders!
One jar of Leader Wax contains approx. 20 grams of wax.
About Leader Wax:
Our Leader Wax is primarily developed for use with our Furled Leaders (see separate article) but can be used as any wax-based floatant.
It is handmade and contains only vegetable oils and beeswax, making it completely non-toxic and better for the environment than silicone or petroleum-based products.
I use it myself for both our Furled Leaders and for dry flies; scrape off a bit of wax with your fingernail, warm it between your fingers, and apply where you want on the fly, leader, or floating line.
Is there a better floatant on the market?
Yes!..... But, our wax is 100% non-toxic and consists of vegetable oil and beeswax!
⮞ ⮟ Instructions
Place one end of the leader on the wax, gently press the leader into the wax with your thumb and pull the entire leader between your thumb and the wax 2-3 times.
Even out and remove excess wax by pulling the entire leader through pinched fingers.
